Songs we sang today:

Kitty Kitty
When you're a cat
You do as you please
Take a bunch of naps
Climb a few trees
Rub on my ankle
And make me sneeze
Life is like that
When you're a cat.

And everybody goes
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty cat
(can you do that)
And everybody goes
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty cat

When you're a cat
You're covered in fur
Tummy full of milk
Makes you purr
You dream about fishes, mice and birds
Life is like that
When you're a cat.

(faster)And everybody goes
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty cat
(can you do that)
And everybody goes
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty cat

(super fast)And everybody goes
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty cat
(can you do that)
And everybody goes
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty
Here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty

Wake Up You Lazy Bones
Wake up you lazy bones
and go and find my cattle
Wake up you lazy bones
and go and find my cow
Wake up you lazy bones
and go and find my cattle
Wake up you lazy bones
and go and find my cow

The sun is hot
The grass is soft
I think I'll rest
Till they come home...

WAKE UP YOU LAZY BONES!

(Repeat twice)

  1. I love your kitty song and would like to know the tune. I've been searching online and wading through all the kitty songs on YouTube, but then thought it might be quicker if I just went to the source (you). Is it on a CD, or, could I just call you and ask you to hum it for me :-) ?

  2. Hi Cindy,

Thanks so much for writing about the kitty song (one of my favorites as well!!) It's actually from an Arkansas songwriter named Brian Kinder and his CDs can only be purchased on his website (www.kindersongs.com). It's from his "Again" CD, and if you click on it, it gives you a snipet of the song. If I can help you out further (or hum it to you), please just let me know! My phone number is 412-486-0211 x116 :)
